      I have a problem. Now, while I’m mostly not aware of it, poor little red is – I do things in my sleep. Sleep war-play. In my dream I thought I was defending against a grenade attack. In reality it turned out I’d jumped over to the side of the bed and pulled the mattress up to form a shield. Sleep running the hell away from something. I don’t know what I was running away from, or towards, but it turned out that what I was sleeping, I was doing. I jumped up from bed – dove over little red, slammed through the door into our closet, ran in there and shut the door behind me. When I woke up, standing up in the closet, I felt a bit strange. As you would. Sleep scaring little-red. In my dream I think I could see ‘something’ doing ‘whatever somethings do’, in reality I was pointing at the ceiling and asking little red, very insistently “can you see that?!” Sleep laughing. I guess something really funny must have been happening, I definitely remember having a weird dream with my friend James Brown and his young ladyfriend Heloise, something about Stella Artois, then…

      I like beer. What red blooded kiwi doesn’t?.. Well, Dylzno, for one… I’ve always been a bit suspicious about him though. I think he might be queer. Anyway, here are some beers I’ve had, and what I thought about them, sometimes I can’t be bothered doing it at all, sometimes I do it and make a half-arsed job, other times I pretend I know lots about beer, I don’t know if I fool anyone. You be the judge. wp_list_pages(‘child_of=427&title_li=&sort_column=post_name’);

      The BakerMonkey isn’t a big fat fraud, instead he cooks the simplest dishes in the world, and presents them as if they were were gastronomique hurdles only achieved by the finest chefs in the world.He expects his third Michelin Star to arrive in the post shortly. wp_list_pages(‘child_of=420&sort_column=post_name&title_li’);

      Living in Auckland can be fun, the city isn’t too big, but it’s big enough that there are a great many things here, and a very broad mix of different ethnicities, in various states of civilisation. Stuff happens. It’s not always good, but it is often entertaining – for us anyway. Here are some of the things that have happened… Men with guns. (February 3, 2005) Stupid teenager bag snatchers cul de sac escape. (April 15, 2002) Crazy drunk guy with a bat makes a trembling victim of his car. (February 15, 2002) Two guys that can’t hide from a dog. (January 13, 2002)
